Prophet Abraham Richard teaches that true forgiveness ends up in reconciliation. As Christians that is the gospel we ought to preach and practise in order to overcome satan. Remember where there is unity and reconciliation for the sake of Christ Jesus, satan will have no place in our lives.
Let it also noted that when we [you] fail to forgive and reconcile, we [you] are only digging a deep pit for not only ourselves [yourself] but the next generations as well. The legacy we [you] live behind for them is one of hatred, malice, animosity etal. When Mr. Joseph Walusimbi came to this powerful conclusion, he opted to put aside everything and seek for reconciliation.
Pondering on how he would reconcile with his long lost friend now turned into an enemy, elder Joseph thought of the Servant of God, Abraham Richard.
These two elders who had been friends were sadly separated because of a land wrangle. This separation did not stop at the two men alone, but even their families got a piece of this ugly feud.
The once revered friendship in the community had become a source of disgrace and shame for them. In faith, Mr. Walusimbi met with Prophet Abraham Richard to seek the counsel of God regarding the issue of the land wrangles.
When the Prophet heard what the elder had to say, he was inspired by the Holy Spirit to go for prayer and seek God’s mind on this issue. After two months and seventeen days of prayers, on 28th May 2020, the Prophet met with the elders of Luwombo village to execute God’s Will.
It was after that meeting that he realised that there was a deep pit of hatred which led to stealing, killing and destruction among them. Where enmity dominates, satan thrives, hence no progress as a community.
As per the instruction of the Holy Spirit, he sought out a path way that would lead to forgiveness and reconciliation between these two elders. This in turn would lead to the prosperity of the community.
Remember elders play an integral parton to the prosperity and moral development of the community. Now if they are stuck in bitter land wrangles, how will they help the youth?
By the Grace of God, Prophet Abraham Richard met the two elders, together with the community and Church leaders. He reminded the individuals present that one of the foundations of development in families and communities is forgiveness and reconciliation. He noted that as leaders, their pictures to the communities they lead are tainted because of battles they were fighting.
The Prophet further remarked, “When I noticed this, I said I will come and talk to the leaders. Remember God is pleased when there is unity. The issue at hand [land wrangles] has taken so many years, over ten I believe. A lot of evil has prevailed because of this land wrangle but I pray that today, this wrangle will end and we reconcile in the name of the LORD.”
The two elders all expressed their grievances to the Servant of God. Even though the land wrangle has taken so many years, the Grace of God was now present to change the hearts of men. Remember where Christ Jesus steps, there is forgiveness and reconciliation.
When the elders finished speaking; under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the entire team moved to the land that had brought a great feud among the two elders. After 18 long years of resentment towards each other, the Love and wisdom of the LORD prevailed.
These two elders reached a settlement concerning the land wrangle by the marvelous Grace of God. Prophet Abraham Richard reminded them that they had reconciled and it was paramount for them to take steps to revive their friendship. The Servant of God asserted that let the past be forgotten and focus on the present because they are the elders in the society and they will need to guide the young ones to Light.
They both agreed that the land wrangle was over between them. The elders thanked the Spirit of God who was in the midst of the situation and had brought peace between them. The local leaders and the Church members present were all rejoicing and grateful to the LORD for bringing these two elders together as they once used to be.
Our prayer today is that as you have read about this story, if you have anyone you are at logger heads with, it will prompt you to seek for reconciliation and forgiveness.
Let us not forget the wise words of Seer Abraham Richard that a small offence can lead to a great destruction, do not wait for eighteen years to reconcile, do it today and now for the glory of God.
Matthew 5:9 [NIV]: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
