When Prophet Abraham Richard stood to share with the believers about keeping and maintaining spiritual legacy, he first shared a word of advice. We believe that as you read this teaching, this word of advice will be of great importance to you on your spiritual journey.
He said: Always greet everyone in the way of love and forgiveness. You cannot face your neighbour and tell them good morning without forgiveness in your heart. Good morning, with forgiveness in your heart, will bring Christ Jesus to do something wonderful.
With a message titled, KEEPING AND MAINTAINING SPIRITUAL LEGACY, the Servant of God answered a question that is in the hearts of many Christians today.
Let us address the question today: What is required to maintain the spiritual legacy of a person of God? Child of God, let us get into this message to receive divine wisdom that we shall teach the next generation.
The truth is that Servants of God have been glorified from the beginning of time and yet we find ourselves in a conflict. We do not know what we need to carry on the legacy. Let us be honoured today by reminding ourselves of this Truth. This can be an answer to you who is reading this message today. If you want the LORD’S calling upon your life to be kept on, what can you do?
The first thing you need to do is search for the right people that Love you. In this search, you should keep it at heart that cannot find the people you need in one or two years. This is a lifetime search; you will keep searching until the last day.
Along the way, you find individuals who look like the right people, but when situations come, they will fall away. If you do not understand that this is a lifetime search, when those people fall off, it will break you beyond repair. However, if you understand this truth that it is a lifetime search, you will not break.
If anything, when they fall off, you will pray for them and yourself for the LORD to locate the right people for you. This advice also applies to people who want to keep a world legacy. You need to find people that Love you. Whilst in the search, the more you keep watching and waiting, you will find that the one you thought would carry on the legacy is dining with your enemies behind your back. I must remind you again that in search of the people that Love you, it is a lifetime search. Take it from me Abraham Richard.
I have learnt along the road that a lot of things happen on the journey. Nevertheless, when the LORD starts to get the right people for you, He will begin to flash your vision to them prior you talking to them. Having shared with you about Love, it is simple to carry on a spiritual legacy.
Where there is Love, there will be the Spirit of God. There is nothing that can ever get you the anointing of the person of God if it is not Love for them and their Love for you. John 14:15-16: If you love me, obey my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate who will never leave you. Luke 14:26: If you want to be my disciple, you must, by comparison, hate everyone else-your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters-yes, even your life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.
When you meditate in the book of Luke 22:31-32, it brings it out clearly. If you have never been saved, you cannot save others. If you have never been Loved, you cannot know how to Love others. Similarly, if you have never undergone training, you cannot train others. Finally, if you have never felt the Love of the person of God, you can never have his spirit [anointing] to carry on their vision because you have never Loved him.
The Word of God has put it clearly in the book of John 14:15-16, Christ Jesus is saying, ‘If you Love me.’ Christ already Loves them, but He is checking their Love for Him because Love finds Love. Many of us are looking on the wrong side of how to keep the Spiritual legacy, but it is very simple, Love.
Now Love will bring the Spirit of God. When Christ meets with Peter in John 21:15-17: After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?’ Yes LORD, Peter replied, you know I Love You. Then feed my lambs Jesus told him
The Holy Spirit is affirming to us through the Word of God that it is Love; that intimacy and relationship that draws the Spirit of God upon an individual to carry on the person of God’s Spiritual legacy. However, today, why are we struggling to keep the legacy? It is because there is a very big question mark on our Love for the Master. When you are carrying on a Spiritual legacy, the Spirit of God upon your spiritual leader should be the same upon you.
The Spirit of God is not seen by words but by demonstration of power in the name of Christ Jesus. Remember, He cannot walk with you unless you have found the vision of the person of God [Exodus 34:9].
The Spirit of God in the person of God is there purposely to support the vision given to them. If you do not know what the person of God is pursuing or vision, however much you ask from the Spirit of God to enable you to do what they are doing, He will never come because you are fake. So what vision are you pursuing to maintain their legacy?
When Spiritual people notice that your works are different from those of the person of God, they will turn against you because you are in a wrong position. However, if they see that the works are the same, they will acknowledge that indeed you are a disciple of the person of God, and the Spirit using you is one. Look at Elijah and Elisha. They were the same. It was not about physical appearances, but the Spirit. The Spirit that was upon Elijah was also upon Elisha. [2Kings 2:15]
Summing up the visionary message, the Prophet taught that while physical things can be duplicated, no one can duplicate the Spirit of God. What God has planted, nobody can duplicate, even if you fast and pray you cannot get the anointing. If it was about fasting and praying, Christ Jesus would tell Peter to fast and pray in order to receive His Spirit [Anointing
Acts 1:7-8 clearly shows us that the gist is with the Spirit. If you have not received the Spirit, you cannot carry on the anointing. Therefore, you cannot maintain the legacy of the person of God.
We believe that this message has shown a clear Light on how to maintain the legacy of a person of God. It begins with Love and ends with Love.
