During the Thursday service of 2nd January, 2014, the Servant of God Abraham Richard proclaimed; “In a vision, I saw bad news and I did not see the title or trophy lifted.
I am talking about the English premier league; those of Liverpool FC should pray! Something happened to a player that is highly focused on by the team! And it spread in the media.” He went on to call upon the congregation saying, “Pray even if you do not love football because it was so frustrating.” Thus says the LORD.
When we go to the world of football, it is a true depiction of the Gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ; it consists of team work, different players having the same goal plus the supporters to see that the team wins.
The truthfulness of this message breaks the day on 12th May, 2014 after only four Months and 10 days! When Stevens Gerrard’s slip against Chelsea proved to be costly for the title hopes of Liverpool FC.
Oh my God! This will forever be memorable in the lives of the football funs and Liverpool FC as a team. Perfect is the spoken Word of God! Prophets still live.
Gerrard slipped at the vital moment to leave Chelsea forward Demba Ba clear on goal.
But let us first understand the particles in the Prophetic and parabolic message:
1. Who is Steven Gerrard? Steven Gerrard is one of the most valuable players and the most experienced on the pitch. The best midfielder and the captain of the team -Liverpool Football club. He is so much focused on by the management and the players.
2. How hopeful was Liverpool FC to winning the trophy? The team was 100% hopeful to winning the trophy [English Premier League 2013/14] of that season since it was on top of the table by the time it played with Chelsea having 80 [eighty] points and Chelsea second with 75 points.
Liverpool hosted Chelsea at Anfield on 12th May, 2014 and Chelsea won with 2:0 victory.
How does this prophecy concern you?
I believe you must be surprised that God’s Spirit is talking about the world of football and you come to ask, “How does this lead to Christ Jesus and Eternal life? How does football relate with God? ”
Yeah, you are right to ask! There’s a bond between them. God can use anything to have man’s attention. He will use that you are attached to, that you love and that you fear. Look at the book of Job 3:25 it will explain this better, “What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.”
What would be the reason for God to use football this time? He is intending to remind us that He watches over everything within and outside man. Whatever we are concerned about, He is also concerned, and so, He can guide us only if we involve Him.
Read with me in the Bible the book of Proverbs Chapter 15 verses 3: The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. [NRSV].
The more you do not involve God in your issues or affairs, is the more satan will be fully in the center. The Word of God states that, we should Commit our work to the LORD, and our plans will be established. [Proverbs Chapter 16:3.]
We are so much disappointed in the our talents today simply because we have not sought God; yet He is the foundation of our talents.
Look at the Word of God again, that we should commit our work, ways, plans to the LORD we shall be successful [Proverbs 16:3].
This revelation from the Holy Spirit through the servant of God Abraham Richard and its perfection is the sole evidence that we can depend on God to win.
Without doubt, I repeat, God is reliable because He is always steps a-head of us. Who else can we trust if not this God, who can show you the past, present and the future – Jesus Christ?
In conclusion of this matter, believer, open up your heart to trust the LORD as the Word of God states: Trust the Lord with all your heart and He shall direct your steps [Proverbs 16:9].
For He has proved before us that He is God of Light that He knows what is hidden from men.
Choose to live in the Light because Word of Prophecy is a Lamp that guides a believer’s feet [1Peter 1:19].
