For Christians, every time we are presented with opportunities to show Christ like Love to the communities, it is always an honour. When such seasons come our way, it may seem overwhelming but as Christians we must never forget that our source of strength and provision comes from the LORD [Luke 9:12-17].
For Prophet Abraham Richard Bisaso and the TVC Ministry partners it was the murram road that was in dire need of modification. This murram road links up a number of villages to the town of Lugazi but its state was appalling. Transportation was nearly impossible in this locality and if not attended to with haste would lead to services not being received in different villages.
When the rain fell, it would get from bad to worse, you would find trucks fully loaded with merchandise stuck for hours. This would hinder movement and subsequently businesses and livelihoods as well.
In the dire state the road was in, the Spirit of the LORD instructed His Servant to do something for the community. This Divine assignment led Prophet Abraham Richard to call for an expeditious meeting with the local leaders.
This meeting was to get a solution that would help the communities at large. By the Grace of God, there was positive response which led to the fixing of the road. As soon as it was completed, many could not hold up there excitement as they praised God.
Mr. Nsubuga Ruben, a councilor recounted his message of gratitude. He noted: This poor state of the road had been going for almost seven years. The road was impassable because of the heavy trucks that were using the road. The road on itself was bad and these trucks only made it worse. However, when a Good Samaritan, Prophet Abraham Richard came along, he changed our story
A mobile vendor; Mr. Kazibwe Yasin greatly appreciated the new improvement on the road. He said there he faced tremendous difficulty in the movement of his goods especially when the rain fell. At times he would be forced to ferry the goods by feet but today; beaming with smiles he tells a different story. A story full of hope because the road has been fixed.
Even the motorcycle riders were moved by this act of Love. Mr. Kabira Brian noted that the road was slippery and very difficult to use especially during the rainy season. He said, “Due to the bad road, we were charging high prices for the movement.
However, now that it has been fixed, we are going to lower the costs. Thanks to the Prophet of God, the road is now in a stable condition. Truly I thank God for bringing Prophet Abraham Richard here, he came with transformation. Our area is now shining with electricity, roads are being fixed and even schools have been built.
Child of God as you witness the transformation of the different communities of Buikwe District; do not forget that it is also your duty to take care of your community. This is because a mature Christian takes care of His community. Isaiah 58:6-7 [NIV]: 6Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter— when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
