Sending a message to Christ Jesus 1

With reference from the gospel of Saint John 11:1-44: So the sisters sent word to Jesus, ‘Lord, the one you love is sick.’ (NIV) Prophet Abraham Richard Bisaso ushered the believers into the message of the day titled, “Sending a message to Christ Jesus.” ‘With recap from the previous Wednesday message (Prayer is Spiritual) the Servant of God used Mary and Martha’s grief scenario as a classroom to teach the believers the difference between religious worship and spiritual worship.

He disclosed that the moment Mary and Martha sent a message to Christ Jesus; He instantly got involved and began watching every move of Lazarus’ illness. The Prophet revealed that although Jesus was not physically at Bethany, He was there in spirit and that is why after receiving the sisters’ message Jesus turned to His disciples and told them what really was happening to Lazarus at that moment.

Slicing down this spiritual bread for every believer to have a piece, the Servant of God magnified the nuance line between religious worshippers and true spiritual worshippers. In this, he described Martha as a religious worshipper and this is why she was skeptical about Jesus’ ability to provide a solution to her problem. Like Martha, many Christians today do not seek the spiritual Jesus but a physical one; it is the same with the Church today, it wants to see a walking Christ.

They believe more when a prominent Servant of God is present or comforts them, this is when they believe that perhaps Christ is listening to them forgetting that He is a spirit God. The Prophet asserted that if you are still looking for Christ Jesus in flesh, you are not different from the Pharisees or religious men because it is only religion that reads scriptures as though they are poems with no intention of helping the believers understand what they really mean.

True worshippers are those who seek Christ Jesus in Spirit; like Mary who knew that Jesus had received the message in Spirit and waited for Him. Her spiritual message moved Jesus in Spirit that He wept too. The Servant of God, expounded that the best way to send a message to Christ Jesus is praying in Spirit and with assurance that He is available and able like in verse 25 that, “I am the resurrection and life. He who believes in me will live even though he dies.”

Your part as a believer is to understand how to send Him a message affirmed the Seer. Before you say Amen, you must have heard from Him first this way you will never carry heavy loads because Christ is carrying the load for you. Mary knew who would solve her dead brother’s mystery and how to send Him a message (spiritually) and hence she was not disappointed.

Epilogue

Child of God how do you want to see Jesus? The best way to seek Him is in Spirit because God is a Spirit. Like Jesus told the Samaritan woman in John 4:24; “God is a Spirit and his worshippers must worship in Spirit and truth.” In the same criteria, if you are sending a message (prayer) to Christ today, do it in Spirit not physically because He is listening.
