A very good morning to you, Child of God! If you are reading this message, it means the LORD has something special for you to learn today. Are you ready to join us on a wonderful Biblical adventure? This is a true story from the Bible, and the most exciting part is that, at every step, we shall discover what it means to be brave, even in moments when we feel shy, scared, or tempted to hide.
Get ready, there is a beautiful lesson waiting for you! A long, long time ago, there was a great kingdom called Persia. In that kingdom lived a young, beautiful Jewish girl named Esther, who stayed with her cousin Mordecai. The King’s name was Xerxes, and when he needed a new queen, he chose Esther because she was kind, gentle, and beautiful. But Esther kept her Jewish identity a secret. Why?
Here are a few simple reasons:Safety: The Jewish people were captives in Persia, and many people disliked them. Mordecai told Esther to keep her identity hidden so she would be safe. Fear of persecution: Some of the King’s officials, like Haman, hated the Jews. If they discovered Esther was Jewish, they might have harmed her.
To fit in:Esther wanted to be accepted by the King and the people in the palace. Keeping her identity a secret helped her avoid being treated differently. Finally and most important, it was God’s plan: God was preparing Esther for something very important, and keeping her identity hidden was part of His plan.
For a while, everything went well. But then a mean and wicked man named Haman, who worked for the King, started plotting evil things. He hated the Jewish people and convinced the King to make a law saying that all Jews should be killed.
When Mordecai heard about this terrible plan, he quickly told Queen Esther and begged her to help her people. The Queen was afraid, because going to the King without being invited was against the law and she could be punished! But Mordecai reminded her, “Maybe God made you Queen for this very moment and purpose.”
So Queen Esther gathered her courage and decided to go to the King. She was truly brave. After inviting the King to dine with her several times, she finally told him the truth about Haman’s wicked plan. The King was shocked and angry. He quickly stopped Haman’s plan, protected the Jewish people, and punished Haman instead.
NOTE: The decision to keep Esther’s identity a secret was wise, and it helped her fulfil God’s plan for her life!
Lessons We Learn From Queen Esther’s Story
1. God loves and protects His people: Esther’s story shows that God is always watching over His people. Even when things seemed impossible, God was working quietly behind the scenes to save the Jewish people. This reminds us that God loves us deeply and never leaves us.
2. We should be brave and trust God, even when things are hard: Queen Esther was scared, but she trusted God and chose to be brave. She believed that God would help her, and He did! When we face difficulties, we can trust God and be courageous, just like Esther.
3. God uses ordinary people to do big things: Esther was an ordinary girl, but God used her to save an entire nation. This teaches us that God can use anyone; no matter how young or ordinary they may feel to do amazing things.
I know there is a lot you have picked in this message! One major point we can not forget is to be brave, no matter the situation. As you go out today, be brave and trust the LORD, stand for truth at home, school and among your friends. Be like Queen Esther.
Have a blessed day Child of God.
