Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Prophet Abraham Richard took his position before the believers to share a revelation that he had received concerning the heart. We believe that when you receive this revelation, it will help you in your walk with the LORD. With a message titled, “The State of Your Heart,” He shared:
Believers, our biggest problem is our hearts getting out of order because of the surrounding situation. The moment it does, you have lost control of everything around you and this is the devils joy because he wants to take away peace from your heart. We can all agree that when you do not have peace of heart, you cannot hear God’s voice.
The Word of God says in the book of Proverbs chapter 4 verse 23 that: Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
The Word of God has warned us, therefore, choose to guard your heart because you may lose everything if it is not okay. Take to note that the wellbeing of your heart is your life. Today very many people are sick, because of the condition of their hearts; even the way you look explains the condition of your heart.
Let us work upon our hearts because Christ is looking for people who are taking care of their hearts daily. Just because you go to church every Sunday does not exempt you from getting evil spirits into your heart. I assure you that remaining silent or running away from your problems does not mean you have solved the problem.
I found this message so key, so let me talk about it so that we can find a solution. The important question right running through your heart, I believe, is this: How can I guard or take hold of my heart?
Meditating upon the goodness of the Word regularly, the promises of God upon your life and singing Christian Hymns; all this will comfort and always make you fall in the arms of God. In so doing, your heart will always be guarded from evil attacks.
Even when people try to discourage you, you will always fall back on the Word of God and His promise upon your life.
Believer, it is only the promises of God that can pave a way for you and protect your heart. Never put your trust in the promises of men, because people forget; this is a character of human beings. However, God will never forget what He said about you.
Choose to have your peace by putting in practise what we have shared above, then you will feel the peace of Christ Jesus. When your heart is composed, fear will vanish. Peace is so important in our life because it maintains God’s promise upon us. The moment you lose the peace of Jesus, you have lost every blessing of God.
Look, when Jesus found the disciples gathered in the upper room, He said: Peace be with you (Saint John chapter 20 verse 19-23). This took away fear and restored their callings in ministry, and they went out to preach the gospel.
This means if the LORD says; My peace I give to you; He has awakened every blessing and prophecy He has ever proclaimed upon your life. All you have to do is to believe and take it in Jesus’ name.
I believe you have the promises of God in your life and He wants to take you to another level. The only challenge you have is the heart; choose to rest in Christ Jesus. Whatever situation you are going through, allow to go through it; it could be preparing you for your glory. This situation is preparing you to become an excellent teacher and leader tomorrow.
Let’s take an example; look at the birds and the way they behave. In the morning when they come out of the nets, they first fly around the nests studying the surrounding situation. Then they begin to make sound as they worship close to the nests before leaving.
We need to pick a leaf from them; when we wake up in the morning, worship God first from your house on your knees then go to work. This will be a sign that you have chosen to trust God in your day. I have never seen a bird lose weight because of poor feeding.
Meaning whoever supplies to them knows what they need to eat. Let us learn from the nature around us and stop fighting the LORD. Allow Him to feed you and do not rush to grumble or complain because of your situation; choose to trust Him.
As the Prophet was concluding this spirit filled message, he said: I will leave you with this faith challenging word: Today many of us love successful stories of Servants of God in the Bible like Job, Abraham, Peter etal.
What we forget is that they went through different situations that made them great. Allow yourself to grow; you are like a tree; if you rush the tree to grow, it may fail to grow well. Finally, never compare yourselves to anybody.
