Inspired by the Spirit of God, Prophet Abraham Richard Bisaso shared a life-saving message for every Christian. These were his words; read, learn and implement: I want to talk about weakness because we are in times when the language of school wants to take over the language of the Bible.
What we call weakness today is not weakness. Being disabled, without smoothness of tongue or anything physical is not a weakness. True weakness lays in the spirit. So, what then is weakness to a Christian? Weakness is that state when you are almost doubting what you believed and followed, it lays within not outside.
When you hear your Christian brother tell you that I am weak, it means that the person is on the verge of doubting God. When you are weak in the spirit, you cannot help yourself, you will need a stronger authority to help you. In that moment, whatever has attacked you tends to be stronger.
2Thessalonians 3:1: 1As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the LORD may spread rapidly and be honoured, just as it was with you. 2And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith [NIV]. Child of God, there is a great need for those who are strong to intercede for those who are weak. When you intercede for others, at your point of weakness, you too, someone, somewhere will do the same for you.
Look, when Jesus was praying in the garden of gethsemane, what did he say, ‘Take this cup of suffering away from me.’ In short, this prayer meant, ‘I am afraid of what is coming’ [Luke 22: 42-44]. Trust me, today you are strong, but tomorrow you will be weak therefore, it is good to prepare for your days of weakness.
Look at our Master Jesus, you can see His moments of weakness, you can see Him afraid and in that moment He is telling His Father, ‘Take this cup of suffering away from Me.’ See what happened, the Angels came and strengthened Him because He could not help Himself. Verse 43: 43An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened Him [NIV].
This means that when you are weak, you cannot easily help yourself. It is because you are already attacked spiritually, so you will not have the strength to pray. True weakness lays in the spirit, which means nothing from the outside can defile you.
This is what the Word of God tells us in Mark 7:15: 15Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them [NIV]. Jesus is not expecting me to be weak in my spirit based on external issues.
External issues are not supposed to make you weak, but stronger in the LORD. You can be without height but the tallest in the spirit. You can be without smoothness of tongue but the best at communication in the spirit. You can be without money but the strongest in the spirit. Your physical appearance should not determine what you are in the spiritual realm. Now that we understand that external issues do not amount to weakness, what then is the solution of spiritual weakness? The solution is to submit to a stronger authority to help you and who is the stronger authority? Christ Jesus! It is faith in Christ Jesus that strengthens you to move mountains.
Truth be told, everyone shall have moments of weakness, just as our master Christ Jesus had them. It is at the moment of weakness when fear speaks that you are weak within. These are the fruits of weakness; fear, offence, worry, bitterness, and complaining.
When these begin to surface in your confession, it will produce total weakness in prayer. You will lose the strength to be part of Gods work. Do you know why, because you are now weak? When you are weak, you cannot easily help yourself. The devil builds a wall around you and separates you from the people who would have helped you. What makes us fall from Grace is weakness!
Today, offence is taking you away from the people who would help you at your moment of weakness. Bitterness is controlling you, and it has led you to select people you need and do not need. Your life is controlled by offence and bitterness and that is the source of your prayers.
What takes you to prayer today is bitterness and offence; because someone has talked about you; within you, you are complaining of God not being faithful. The reason why mountains cannot move is because you are weak within but look strong on the outside.
True weakness for a Christian is when he is almost doubting what he believed and followed in Christ Jesus. If you are feeling this way, this message is directed to you. You are the one that God gave a Word, a promise but you are doubting it now because of time and the situations you are going through. You pray but before you end the prayer, you have already erased it because of doubt.
Luke 22:31-32: 31Simon, Simon, satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers [NIV].
Believer, you are also undergoing the same revelation of Simon. If you find yourself in a state of weakness, when you are almost doubting within, who can help you? Greater authority can help you, see verse 32: 32But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers [NIV].
Who has prayed for you? Christ Jesus and what has He said? Your faith will not fail; it means failed faith is weakness. The moment your faith fails, you are weak within and you cannot move any mountain. It means you are on the verge, vulnerable, open for attack, any evil talk can win you because you are weak.
Summing up the message, the Prophet of God re-echoed: True weakness in a Christian is the state when you are almost doubting what you believed and followed. True weakness of a Christian lays within not outside. At your point of weakness, who can help you? Greater authority can help you and that Greater authority is Christ Jesus. Finally, we shall all face moments of weakness because even our Master Christ Jesus faced them [Luke 22: 42-44].
