A CALL TO TRUE CHRISTIAN LIVING:
Grace and peace to you, beloved child of God. “I speak to you in the Name of Jesus Christ-welcome into this new year. Begin this year with Jesus, and make every effort to keep your faith throughout the entire season.”
I urge you—encourage one another as you have always done. Help the weak, support the needy, and walk in love, for this is the pure and sure way to Heaven. Be joyful at all times. Do not wait for others to laugh so that you may laugh, or for a drum to beat so that you may dance. No, encourage yourself. Dance even when there is no music. That is real faith.
Remain joyful, and pray continuously in the Spirit. Keep your heart engaged in prayer. Why? Because the days we are living in are evil.
THE PROBLEM WITH EMPTY RESOLUTIONS:
I show you the way to live by the Grace of God. Many of you have plans for this year of buying cars, building houses, getting married, traveling abroad, or starting businesses. As Christian, you say: ‘This year I will not lie, steal, fornicate, or gossip.’ But you have said this every year, and still, nothing changes.
This kind of resolution does not satisfy your soul. Instead, it draws you further away from the Spirit of Christ. You say, ‘I will not sin again,’ but before you realize it, you have fallen again. This discourages you and weakens your walk with God. Why? Because your resolution is wrong.
THE RIGHT RESOLUTION:
The true and lasting resolution is this: Commit your life to serve the LORD. As it is written: ‘Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.’ Joshua 24:15. This is the only sure resolution. When a man chooses to serve God, he discovers the true purpose of his life.
A CALL TO TOTAL COMMITMENT:
Make a firm decision today. You cannot continue living on both sides, walking with the Holy Spirit in the morning and with evil in the evening. What kind of life is that? Who can trust you? Neither God nor the enemy trusts a double-minded person.
You cannot be both hot and cold. No! What is not done right is not done at all. Look at how you have lived in the past in your service before the LORD; disobedient and inconsistent. This must come to an end. Make a final and decisive commitment.
A PROPHETIC WARNING:
This year may grow darker for many. You will need the light of the LORD to guide your path. Jesus Christ is the only Light of salvation in this dying world. Remember: ‘I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness.’ John 8:12
Declaration for 2024: I AND THE LORD WILL WALK TOGETHER THIS SEASON.
Prophetic Prayer for the Year: LORD Jesus Christ, You are the Light of my salvation. Light up my life from now until the day of Your glory. I commit myself to serve You and to walk with You. Amen.
