Message Title: YOU ARE GOD’S PROJECT.
Taught by: Seer Abraham Richard
Proof text: Isaiah chapter 43 verse 1, Isaiah chapter 44 verse 1 to 5, Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11
I want to share with you a message from the book of Isaiah chapter 43 verse 1“But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.”
Believer, where there is Israel, put your name. So it is the LORD mentioning your name and He is saying that, “You are Mine”
Now, let us go to the book of Isaiah chapter 44 verse 1-2: “But now, listen to me, Jacob my servant, Israel my chosen one.” The Lord who made you and helps you says: Do not be afraid, O Jacob, my servant, O dear Israel, my chosen one.”
This Scripture is clearly pointing us to one thing: the LORD’s help has always been with us. That means there is nothing we possess here by our own strength. When you continue and read Isaiah chapter 44 verse 3–5, it clearly portrays you and me as God’s masterpiece. We are His and if we are His, then it means there is nothing we have on earth that truly belongs to us.
Everything belongs to God Almighty. Even that smile on your face belongs to God because it is God who gives you the ability and the feeling to smile. People may tell you wonderful stories and you may not smile, but when God Almighty gets into your heart, you can start smiling at the simplest things around you because the strength to smile comes from God.
Believer, you can see that there is nothing you have that belongs to you. Look at your whole body: what have you ever created on your own body? However beautiful or handsome you may look, everything is for God. Therefore, there is no way we can take pride in what God Almighty has entrusted to us. All boasting is excluded because everything we are belongs to God.
The truth is that tomorrow, we shall be glorified, whether you like it or not. That means even the very life you are living is not yours. This should humble every one of us. There is no way you can boast about who you are. The reason we are all different in our shapes, likes and dislikes is for God’s glory. The reason why you are brown, short, rich, leader, follower- it is all for God’s glory.
Nobody is greater than another. We are all the same, and we are all being used by God. That is how life is. Tomorrow, however brilliant you may be, you are going to be glorified, and eventually people will forget about you. It is useless to be strong today, only to die tomorrow and be forgotten. What, then, is the pride for? The glory belongs to Jesus.
As you are reading this message, one thing is clear; there is no blind animal like a so-called Christian. The vast majority of us are fighting God every day without knowing it. We are making rules and regulations about a life that was only assigned to us. Even when we are told about God’s Will for our lives, we reject it. Isn’t this blindness? What do we know about tomorrow?
Tomorrow is a mystery. We are doing everything today, and we wait for God Almighty to judge us tomorrow. If there is anything good He has done for me, personally, I confess, “Thank You, Jesus.” I know that whatever He has given me is for His glory and to serve others.
It is only God Almighty who knows our plans for tomorrow. Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11 reminds us of His purposes for us. However smart you are, you can never manage tomorrow without the wisdom of God. Everything we have (jobs, marriages, careers and talents). We are only custodians of these things. Do not simply reject things because you do not want them. Even those things you do not want, God can use. The very things you do not want may be the things God Almighty uses to mature you, humble you or save you.
If we understand that our heads, shoulders, knees and toes all belong to Jesus, we shall live rightly. If you know that God Almighty is the boss, you will handle everything you have with care. The teacher in Ecclesiastes teaches us that success is not all about you; it is about God’s Grace.
Dear reader, life is not about your strength, your education, wealth, status or anything else. It is all about God Almighty. You are alive because He wants you to be, do not be diverted by anything else.
This generation is blinded by money, and we think life is all about money. But the real question we need to understand is: What is life? Life is not about money. Life is about having understanding of God and you get to know who the life in you. The life in you is Christ Jesus who is the Way, Truth and Light.
If Jesus is in you, you have life, whether you have money or not. The rich will fall, but you will remain standing. It is not about the strength of men; it is about God. When Christ Jesus leaves your life that is when trouble begins. You will no longer have that life within you. Your children, your business, your job and your family will all become lifeless without the life that comes from God Almighty. Therefore, we should stop fighting HIM.
Take to note: No one asked their parents to give birth to them. It was God Almighty who brought them together for a reason they did not know and that reason was you. Yet here you are, boasting and saying, “My life.” We are fighting battles with God Almighty. The Spirit we have is from God. He is the One who has given it to us. How can you fight God Almighty?
Summing up the teaching, the Servant of God noted: You are God’s project, and He is not yet finished with you. There is something He wants you to do for Him before you leave this life. That is why He has preserved you. You are still here because there is a purpose for your life. Everything we have belongs to God. The glory belongs to Jesus.
