Message Title:  Your calling

By: Prophet Abraham Richard

Scripture References: Gospel of Saint James 1, Ephesians chapter 4, Isaiah 55:6

Prophet Abraham Richard shared with the believers what the Spirit of God had placed in his spirit for the chosen children of God. We believe you are one of these children because you are reading this message right now. With a message titled “Your Calling,” he taught:

Good morning. Today, the message I have is special. It is for the children of God; these are the ones I want to talk to today. By the Grace of God, I want to break down this year’s message by the Grace of God for your better understanding. Let us read from the book of  St James chapter 1 verse 6: But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.

Today, we want to base our sharing on that verse and speak about focusing on your calling. Before we proceed, allow me to break down the word calling. A calling can be a talent, a gift, being a businessman, a housewife, or a promise from God. So as I refer to calling in this message, think about what God has told you to do.

I believe that everyone reading this message, there is something the LORD has ever said to you.He may have spoken to you about a business, a family, serving Him, or a special gift or talent. However, you will never mature in it if you do not give it attention.

I was studying the book of  Ephesians chapter 4, and it says, “Brothers, live a life worthy of your calling.” This means a person who is not focusing on their calling is double-minded and indecisive. Such a person will never prosper in whatever they do because they are not settled.

This year’s theme says, focus on your calling, this simply means you need to discover yourself. The moment you discover yourself, you will know the right people who need what you have. Everyone has something special the LORD has placed in them, but many are not focused on it, yet it is what people need from them.

Remember that nothing was created outside the LORD. This means you were created through Him and you are special What makes you special is the gift and talent He planted in you. If you say you do not have a calling, I want to assure you that there is a talent the LORD has put in you, and you need to find it.

Find out what your talent or special ability is. This year, find yourself in the LORD, and you will know your true calling. When Saul came before the Prophet, he was looking for his donkeys, but his encounter led him to discover himself. The Prophet told him that he was not supposed to be looking for donkeys; he is a king.

Even in this generation, it is possible that you are running after business or marriage, yet you are supposed to be a Servant of the Most High God. You need to find yourself in the LORD so that you can know your calling. However, if you become reluctant, there is a great danger that I am going to share with you.

Seer Abraham Richard further taught that: If you do not get to know who you are and what the LORD has put in you, then all the things you are running after are a waste of time. Your talent is what people need from you and what they will buy from you. You could be in business while your true calling is to be a footballer. This is the world’s biggest problem, many people are in the wrong calling (talent or gift).

The moment you are in the wrong talent, you will never be satisfied or recognized. I assure you, there is space for everyone in this world to prosper. Find your calling. You may have been doubting yourself; however, I speak to you as a Servant of God, you have a calling. That gift is within you. What you need to do is discover it. That special gift God has given you is what kings, presidents, and everyone else need from you.

A question was posed: Servant of God, how do I get to know my calling so that I can focus on it?

To this, Seer Abraham Richard responded: When you seek Christ Jesus, you will find yourself. Isaiah 55:6 says: Seek the LORD while you can find Him. Call on Him now while He is near. If you have spent some time in Christianity, you already know your calling and have seen signs, but you have ignored them. You know what you love and desire, focus on that.

To those who already know their callings, the Prophet of God encouraged them: Focus on the talent God has given you. The world is on social media looking for unique men and women. People want to buy the uniqueness God planted in you. Who would have known Joseph; a slave and a prisoner? Yet he focused on his talent rather than on what people were saying, and it brought him exposure. He matured in his talent, and people began to see that they needed him. People should know you for who you are in the LORD; therefore, focus on your calling. It will bring the right people to you.

I also implore you to build a character that reflects your calling so that people will know you for it. Read about people who have the same talent as you and let them inspire you. Get to know how they managed their callings. When you focus on such examples, it will help you grow in your talent.

You cannot be an Apostle and behave like a Pastor. You cannot be a Pastor and behave like a Prophet. Our actions speak louder than our confessions. Let people know you for your talent. I pray that you focus on your calling so that you can prosper. There is so much that you need to learn from your calling, for example, the challenges you will face in that particular calling or talent. Some people are facing challenges because of their callings, yet sadly they are not focused on them.

Summing up this message, the Servant of God said: Know your calling, and you will understand the challenges you may encounter. Let us look at the disciples of Christ Jesus to understand this better. He told the disciples that they would persecute them because the world had not understood Him. So when persecution came their way, the disciples found joy and strength because they understood that they were suffering the effects of their calling. When you do not focus on your calling, life will become difficult. Embrace the challenges in your calling, they make you better.
