THE POWER OF WORSHIP AND PRAISE.
Child of God, there are moments in life when problems and worries try to take over your mind and you may choose to pray or read the Word of God. These are good and powerful, but there is something special about worship and praise.
When you begin to worship God by singing hymns and spiritual songs, the voices of world like fear, worry begin to disappear. The voice of worship and praise silences the voice of the world in our hearts and around us. It is like a snake preparing to attack a monkey, only to be stopped by the monkey’s quick and decisive response.
In the same way, even a few minutes of true worship can stop fear and discouragement from controlling you. What seems like a short moment of worship can give you strength for the whole year. Never forget that the power is not in the instruments or the melody.

Take to note, every spiritual song is written for a reason. You may not understand that reason the first time you hear it. However, as you keep listening, singing, and meditating on its message, God will begin to reveal why He inspired His Servant to write that song. The more you return to it, the more you will understand its message and the Grace it carries.
If you find it difficult to pray and feel you have no strength, choose to worship first. As you continue to worship, you will find yourself entering into prayer without even realizing it. You may even ask yourself, “How did I end up praying?” That is the power of worship.
Worship is like riding a boat across a lake. You simply get into the boat, and you are carried to the other side. In the same way, worship carries your heart into God’s presence. There is a spiritual force that moves you forward, often without you even noticing it.
So, whenever the enemy comes to attack you choose to worship, the devil will flee. Severally, the LORD commanded the Israelites to praise and worship Him. He said, “You praise and worship, and I will fight the battle.”
Take note, all battles we face in this life are not our battles. They are God’s battles because we are His creation. When you are praising and worshipping, you make Him smile. Worship and praise bring delight to the LORD, and then He fights His battles. When He wins, you also stand on the winning side with Him.
