Sister Mbabazi Gorreti was in a state of hopelessness until she had an encounter with the LORD Christ Jesus. She recounts her story:
When I first came to the Prayer Mountain, I was in a terrible condition. I was deeply depressed and could not eat, drink, sleep or even bathe. I had completely lost my love for life and for myself. I had visited several hospitals, but the doctors could not diagnose any illness. Eventually, people around me advised me to seek help from witch doctors. Out of desperation, I followed their advice.
When I arrived, I was told that the source of my suffering was ancestral spirits and that I needed to appease them. The witch doctor instructed me to perform various rituals and purchase items such as a hen, clothes and baskets. Before long, my home had become a shrine. Despite doing everything I was told, my condition only became worse.
Eventually, I became frustrated because even witchcraft had failed to bring healing. I threw away some of the items I had been given. In my state of great depression, my neighbour who had been suffering from diabetes and was healed in the Name of Christ Jesus shared his testimony with me. When I listened to it, I received full assurance in my heart that this was the place I needed to visit as well if I needed to see transformation in my life.
When I came to the Prayer Mountain, I was instructed to burn everything connected with witchcraft. At first, I was afraid to do it. However, I realised that these practices had brought me no help at all and my situation was only getting worse.
In that moment, I chose to obey and set on fire everything that I was left with associated to witchcraft. As I continued attending the services at the Prayer Mountain, I was taught about forgiveness and reconciliation. I remained faithful in the gathering of believers, where my faith was strengthened through the Word of God, just as Romans chapter 10 verse 17 says: “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
As, I remained with an issue that was torturing me. It was one of the greatest battles in my life, for more than 20 years, I could not sleep properly. I had accepted this as my normal life. Every time I laid my head down, it was nightmares, I often saw dead people. After that dream, I would wake up suddenly in fear and remain awake for the rest of the night. However my story took a different path on that day that had been set by Heaven.
On 24 May, 2026, I came before the Servant of God Abraham Richard with one prayer request written on my prayer card: I cannot sleep. Led by the Holy Spirit, the Servant of God prayed for me and from that very moment, everything changed.
When I returned home, I fell asleep while sitting in a chair. I woke up in the early hours of the morning, amazed that I had slept peacefully without a single nightmare. Even more remarkably, I began sleeping during the day, something that had been impossible for me for many years.
As I continued attending the Prayer Mountain, God Almighty continued His work of healing in my life.
For more than two years, I had been unable to bathe. Then, one day while in prayer, I suddenly felt the desire to bathe again. My body felt hot, and I went and bathed. Since then, I have even found myself bathing several times a day.
Before, my body was so weak that I could not work or cultivate my land. Today, my strength has returned, and I am able to farm again. I had also lost my appetite, but after prayer I began eating normally once more. I can now eat, bathe, carry out my household chores and live without pain. Jesus Christ has truly set me free.
Today, I thank the LORD for delivering me from the evil spirits that had tormented my life for so long. He has restored my peace, my strength and my joy.
