A moment of self -reflection:

Welcome to this moment of self-reflection, a moment where faith speaks to faith. To all our brothers and sisters who are challenged by different situations in life, take heart and rest in Christ Jesus.

We are living in a world that is racing against our faith in Christ, but I advise you do not give up. Stand your ground in faith. As we meditate together today, remember this: the more your heart is open, the more you receive in the Spirit.

The situation does not define you:

According to the scripture in Saint Luke chapter 4 verse 1 to 2, we are all going through different situations. Therefore, do not let your situation mislead you. Our Master, Christ Jesus, was tempted, yet He overcame. Most of us are like Him. However, many times when we are surrounded by pressing situations, we tend to forget and misinterpret those situations, and as a result, we go the wrong way.

Sometimes we even feel that these situations happen because of sin. This is a wrong interpretation. Because of that wrong interpretation, you may end up doing things with the wrong attitude because you feel that you are under condemnation. Take note: whenever you are in a difficult situation, God is looking at you to see your next move.

While you are going through that situation, God will be encouraging you to look beyond it, while the devil will be discouraging you, telling you that you have lost everything. The one you give room to will control you.

Therefore, while you are in that situation, it is the right time to stand your ground. If you overcome, a great promotion awaits you. Be careful how you interpret your situation.

Be careful with the situation you are going through, because your rise or downfall can occur during that moment. I pray that the Holy Spirit will help you overcome whatever situation you are going through.

Let us take note of this: Whenever you interpret your situation wrongly, your demotion has come. The Servant of God Job, refused to misinterpret the situation he was going through. Job went through a difficult season, but he did not allow his circumstances to change his relationship with God

You need the HolySpirit:

We need the HolySpirit to help us, guide us, protect us, and choose the right friends for us. In Luke chapter 4 verse 3 to 4, Satan told Jesus, in essence, “You are hungry.” Indeed, Jesus was in a situation. He was hungry. But Jesus did not allow the situation to control Him. This is one of the important principles that will help you: Do not become desperate.

Whenever you become desperate, you can easily fall into the trap of making the wrong decisions. In this state, many of us forget what God has done in our lives. We begin to behave in an unpleasing manner in God’s presence, as though He has never done anything good for us.

Remember: not everyone going through a difficult moment has sinned against God. Understand this principle: one can be poor and still be a friend of God. One can lack money and still be a servant of God. One can experience business failure and still be a servant of God.

Therefore, I re-echo: Do not let your situation mislead you. Do not listen to the devil when he tries to nullify your position in Christ Jesus. God has brought you this far to make you pure for Him and to make you a living testimony.

How should we prepare ourselves to testify?

I have come to realize that sometimes the way we testify is not right before God and does not bring Him the glory He deserves. In my observation, the person who is testifying, together with the person who prayed for that person, ought to lift their praises to God.

When we testify about God, we must lift Him higher than all men, because He is the source of all help. The more we talk about what we went through and how God brought us through it, the more the power of the Holy Spirit can be seen in our testimony.

So, when your moment of testimony comes, dance, offer to Him, praise Him, and tell people that indeed there is no other God like Him.

Encourage one another:

The Bible teaches us that we need to encourage ourselves day and night whenever we meet in the name of the LORD through His Word. This command was given to us by the Holy Spirit because He knows that someone can become discouraged at any moment.

Therefore, encourage one another. The situation you are in and the many questions running through your heart must not make you interpret God wrongly.

Do the right thing, and you will come out of that situation in the name of Christ Jesus. Remember, you are meant to overcome every situation. Trust God. He will make a way where seems to be no way and when He does, prepare to testify.

The ten lepers: A lesson in testimony:

Saint Luke chapter 17 verse 11 to 15 (NIV) says:

“Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus travelled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met Him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, ‘Jesus, Master, have pity on us!’ When He saw them, he said, ‘Go, show yourselves to the priests.’ And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.”

There are several things I feel we need to note from this Scripture. If we understand them and apply them, they can transform the way we worship and testify before God.

Recognize what God has done:

Jesus told the lepers to go and show themselves to the priests because He knew that their healing needed to be acknowledged according to the instruction of the Law.

When God does something in your life, do not ignore it. Recognize His work and give Him the glory.

 Testify loudly about God’s goodness:

Secondly, let us look at the attitude of the man who was healed from leprosy. He came back shouting loudly, not quietly. He wanted people to hear what God had done.

This teaches us that the way we testify can bring questions, attention, and awareness of what God has done in our lives. Your testimony can encourage someone who is still waiting for their own breakthrough.

True testimony produces worship:

When we examine the gesture of the leper kneeling at Jesus’ feet after receiving healing, it meant worship. He was worshiping God because God alone does what others cannot do. Therefore, whenever you come before God to testify, do not only tell people what happened.

Worship the One who made it happen and give God the glory.

Theme: How should man prepare themselves to testify?

Whenever you come before God to testify, you should also honor Him for what He has done for you. Our forefathers often carried offerings when they went before God. We see examples in: 2 Kings chapter 5 verse 15 1 Samuel chapter 1 verse 24–26. Remember, an offering is not a payment for God’s blessing. Rather, it can be an expression of gratitude, worship, and thanksgiving for what God has done.

Your testimony can encourage others:

Whenever you testify rightly, you can encourage others to trust God and expect Him to work in their lives. The leper did not keep quiet after receiving his healing. He returned, praised God loudly, and fell at the feet of Jesus.

His testimony became an expression of worship and gratitude. Therefore, when God brings you through your situation, do not forget Him.

Do not misinterpret your trial:

In conclusion, I believe by the Grace of God that I am communicating something important to you. Whatever situation you are going through, do not allow it to make you interpret God wrongly. Do not allow hardship to convince you that God has abandoned you and when you have gone through it, make sure you testify.
