Message tittle: How do you measure success?
By: Seer Abraham Richard
Scripture Reference: Gospel of Matthew 6:34
Allow me to share with you something from the Holy Word. St. Matthew 6:34: So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. This scripture is for the people who are rich in Christ Jesus. They have no reason to worry about tomorrow because they know they are in Christ Jesus. Tomorrow will take care of itself as long as they handle today rightly.
The better way to succeed and prosper in life is to seek the Kingdom of God first. When it gets within you, it will begin to attract all the other things that you need. Whatever you receive (marriage, children, business, or friends) you will not need to protect them, because the LORD who attracted them will protect them. Sacrifice everything to God so that He may attract all the other things that you need.
The core of the message is this: have the Kingdom of God within you first, and the rest will follow. What do I mean when I say, “Have the Kingdom of God first?” When I speak about having God in your heart, I mean allowing Him to fully dominate your life. As we seek the Kingdom of God, there is something very important that we need to note: doing God’s Will is more profitable than your daily prayers.
The truth is that you have prayed so much, and thank you very much for your prayers. However, most of our prayers are not answered because they are selfish prayers. You say, “LORD Jesus, make me a Man of God who prays for people and feeds the community so that I may be recognised.” That is a selfish prayer. The reason many of our prayers are not answered is because most of them are selfish.
Take note that any prayer in which God Almighty is not glorified is a selfish prayer. Many of us pray for success, but how do we measure success? You could be successful without even knowing it. How do we measure success? If your yearning for God Almighty is increasing daily, then you are becoming successful. However, if your yearning for the LORD is decreasing daily, then you are not successful.
Remember, the deeper we go, the hungrier and thirstier we become for God. How hungry are you for God Almighty to fill you? The level of hunger you have for God Almighty reveals whether you are prospering or not. Now that you have this knowledge, are you among the rich or the poor?
This is the true life; if you seek the Kingdom of God first, your heart will rest and you will be contented with what He has given you. The world tells you nothing is ever enough, but, Christ Jesus says you can be contented with what you have. Why? A contented heart is a heart ready to go to Heaven.
